FAQ
ARE AFRIPLY BOXES STRONG ENOUGH TO BE STACKED?
The galvanised steel edges of Afriply boxes provide a strong platform for stacking. Each box has its limits, but we are able to design the interior of the boxes to hold additional weight if needed. Please see our video below demonstrating the stacking weight of an Afriply box (without any additional supports)
ARE AFRIPLY BOXES SUITABLE FOR ROAD AND SEA FREIGHT?
Yes. The galvanised steel profiles lend a lot of strength to the stackability and durability of the crates. As with any form of crating and packaging, a proper load plan must be devised and care taken when loads are lifted, slung and secured.
CAN AFRIPLY BOXES BE EXPORTED?
Yes. Afriply boxes meet all the necessary ISPM15 regulations for export, and each box is marked with the required stamp. A certificate for Export purposes can also be issued as additional verification.
ARE AFRIPLY BOXES ECO FRIENDLY?
Packaging is always a grudge purchase for companies as it seems to be a wasteful necessity. Unfortunately many items cannot be transported without it and the Reduction of packaging usage is not possible. Afriply Boxes are designed to be re-used, and all the components of an Afriply box are fully recyclable. The timber used for manufacturing the bases comes from a sustainable source.

TROUBLESHOOTING
I CAN’T GET THE LID ON MY BOX
Bend the buckles on the top of the sides outwards slightly. The slight angle will allow the lid to be slipped on easily and the buckles will slot into place. If the buckles are on the outside of the lid, lift the lid slightly and push them back into place.
I CAN’T GET THE SIDES TO FIT INTO THE BASE PROPERLY
Bend buckles around the bottom of the sides outwards slightly and the buckled sleeve should slid into place easily.
THE BUCKLES ARE NOT COMING COMPLETELY THROUGH THE LID AND/OR BASE
The corner braces occasionally hook on the lid/base profiles, but a gentle knock with a hammer will help the corners to slip securely in place. Do not force the pieces together as the steel edges will pull away from the plywood and the crate then becomes compromised. If you are forcing it, you are doing it wrong.
